The University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) recently launched a redesigned website. The site was reorganized into the following content areas to better assist researchers in finding the forms and information necessary for projects involving human subjects:
Download Medical, Social, and Exempt research application forms. |
View IRB committee meeting dates and deadlines. |
Read guides to help you navigate University and Federal regulations. |
See information on how the IRB works and processes submissions. |
Learn training requirements and check your training history |
Examine IRB policy, guidance, and best practices. |
Email irb@umn.edu with comments or questions about the new site. You can also see the site map for help finding information.

Is there a way to electronically track IRB documents? Didn’t there used to be an option like this?

Yes: IRB study information is online at http://www.eresearch.umn.edu/ which provides a link between the board’s database and the researcher’s x500 account. The tracking system allows researchers to see the most recent actions taken by the IRB and complete continuing reviews electronically.
