Limited Submission Funding Opportunities from NEA, NEH, NSF, and DOL

A number of limited submission funding opportunities are currently available. Note that the application deadlines vary by funding agency:

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is offering Preservation Assistance Grants up to $6,000 to help small and mid-sized institutions, e.g., libraries, museums, historical societies, and cultural organizations preserve and care for their humanities collections. The deadline for preliminary proposals is March 21, 2011 by 4:00 p.m. The sponsor’s final deadline is May 2, 2011. Click here for submission instructions.

National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is accepting proposals for Challenge Grants, up to $1 million, intended to help institutions and organizations secure long-term improvements in and support for their humanities programs and resources.  The deadline for preliminary proposals is March 14, 2011. National Science Foundation (NSF) is accepting proposals for The Science and Technology Centers (STC): Integrative Partnerships program. The program supports innovative research and education projects that require large-scale, long-term investments. The award is a Cooperative Agreement with an initial commitment of five years. The anticipated funding amount is $30 million for first-year support of newly funded centers. The deadline for preliminary proposals is April 18, 2011 at 4:30 pm. Department of Labor (DOL) is accepting proposals for Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grants program. The program enables community colleges and other eligible institutions of higher education to expand and improve their ability to deliver education and career training programs that can be completed in two years or less. Awards to eligible institutions range from $2.5 million to $5 million for individual applicants, and awards of $2.5 million to $20 million for a consortium of eligible institutions. The deadline for preliminary proposals is March 16, 2011 at 4:00 pm. The sponsor’s final deadline is April 21, 2011. Click here for submission instructions.
