In December 2010, the Office of Measurement Services conducted a survey to identify potential improvements to the research lab inspection process.

The survey was distributed electronically to more than 4,200 active University of Minnesota researchers and lab staff who adhere to the protocols of IACUC, the Controlled Substances Program, DEHS and OHS, and external inspections by regulatory and other agencies.

Approximately 722 respondents met the survey criteria and answered multiple questions based on their role at the university. The overall survey results, including comments, facts and figures, are now available on the Research Integrity and Oversight Programs home page, under Announcements and News.
