The University of Minnesota joined the national Clinical and Translational Science Award consortium in June 2011. Since then, the U of M’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) has been hard at work building a new kind of infrastructure for research — one that’s financially sustainable, flexible, operationally efficient, and focused on the ultimate goal of better health.
CTSI’s efforts were exemplified this year by giving scientists one-stop access to information through a new web portal, hiring a full-time research navigator, launching new consultative services, and strengthening community partnerships.
A new year-in-review video spotlights how CTSI is expanding the university’s capacity to translate scientific breakthroughs into improved health.
