The Initiative for Renewable Energy and the Environment (IREE) is offering a final funding opportunity for two to four grants of up to $750,000 for renewable energy research.
Researchers across the University of Minnesota system are encouraged to submit proposals for new projects that take an integrated systems approach and promise big impact at the intersection of energy and the environment. Focus for the grants is on projects in biomass, solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal power and energy conservation/efficiency.
Letters of intent are due Aug. 15, 2012, and final proposals are due Sept. 30, 2012. IREE will announce award recipients in October. Email iree@umn.edu for more info.
