September 9, 2013

Events, Faculty & Staff, People

Vice President for Research Brian Herman will be the featured speaker at the next Campus Conversation “brown bag lunch”  to be held September 30, 2013.

Campus Conversations offer a forum to discuss matters of interest to the University of Minnesota community. Held several times throughout the academic year, Campus Conversations are free and open to all U of M faculty, staff and students. These events provide a unique opportunity to learn more about different aspects of university life and to ask questions of the university’s key faculty and staff.

For the upcoming Campus Conversation, Vice President Herman will give an overview of the OVPR’s strategic planning process and outline efforts to transform the research enterprise by bringing people together in new ways, fostering discoveries and making our world a better place. Dr. Herman will also discuss several key research initiatives, including MnDRIVE, a university-wide partnership with the state to advance research and innovation in targeted areas that benefit the economy and improve quality of life in our communities.

A discussion will follow the presentation.
