The University of Minnesota is proud to be participating in the 4th annual National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week occurring September 16 – 20, 2013. This week-long celebration was organized in 2010 by the National Postdoctoral Association to honor postdocs and recognize the contributions they make to research and development in the United States.

This year the University of Minnesota Postdoctoral Association has organized a series of social and celebratory events for the week, including a happy hour (Sept. 16), an ice cream social (Sept. 18), and culminating with a postdoctoral reception on September 19th. The postdoctoral reception will feature a short speech by Dr. Brian Herman, Vice President for Research at the U of M. In addition, recipients of the Outstanding Postdoctoral Scholar, Outstanding Postdoctoral Mentor, and Postdoctoral Career Development Awards will be officially recognized.

All University of Minnesota employees are encouraged to attend these events. Please help celebrate and recognize the notable effort that postdocs contribute to innovation and discovery at the U!
